Architecture is an art when one consciously or unconsciously creates aesthetic emotion in the atmosphere and when this environment produces well being. It is a quote by Luis Barragan but its essence can truly be felt in the Srirangapatna Palace. Each of its structure reflects immense beauty and sense of tranquility.The  palace occupies an important place in the glorious history of India. It was the place from where Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore, fought against the British rule. Unfortunate his own people betrayed him and finally he lost the battle. It was also a site where rockets and missiles were made under the supervision of the Tipu Sultan. The brave king fought with his sword with all his might but died a tragic death. He sacrificed his life for the Independence of India.
