Beypore Beach

Recognized for spectacular views, Beypore beach is a place that is located at a distance of around 10 km from Kozhikode town. Being a prime destination, the beach welcomes a large number of tourists from all over the world. The beach was a prime trade and maritime centre in its earlier days. ?The mouth of the Chaliyar river is unique feature of the beach that makes it more special. Attractions at Baypore

Located at a distance of hardly one kilometre, this fishing harbour is a must place visit near the beach. Tourists visiting the city keep the place on top in their prime attractions list.

This is the place where you can get a close look on the making of world famous 'Uru'. The proficient hands with skills of the craftsmen can be witnessed here. The best thing is that you can also purchase the miniature boats made up of teak or coconut. All these are available in the Kairali Emporium in Kozhikode.

This hill sanctuary is home to various native birds as well as migratory birds that flock in the sanctuary in large numbers. Another reason of the popularity of the sanctuary is, its variety of Fishes, Mussels and Crabs. From the month of October, the migratory birds flock the place and by the starting of March, the birds take a return to their native place. This one of its kind sanctuary is sprawled over different islands. The view of river mouth and sea from the hillock can simply spell bind anyone.

Starting from the heritage hotels, tourists visiting the city will get a wide range of hotels in its outskirts. Currently the city is not facilitated with international standards hotels but choosing an option in near the city keeps you at a distance of few minutes travelling only.

By Air : The nearest airport to this beautiful city is an International airport located at Karipur.

By Rail : All the prime cities of the country connected to Kozhikode, which is the prime station and is around 9 kilometre away from the town. For further connectivity tourists can take a train to Feroke railway station, which is located at a distance of around 4 kilometre.

By Road : All nearby cities are well linked with Kozhikode. Tourists can use state transport to travel from one place to other.
