The literal meaning of 'Devikulam' is 'the lake or pond of Devi'. The lake is known as Sita Devi lake. Many tourists come here for taking a bath in the sacred lake. Inclined towards angling, try it at this lake and you will surely get rewarded.
The nearby attractions of the Devilulam are attractive waterfalls, green tea plantations and a great variety of flora high on aesthetic value. The waterfall is called Pallivasal which is a famous picnic spot in Munnar. The tea plantations are a sight to behold. The gum trees in red and blue are the unique creations of God which are found in abundance here.
